Boston, MA. January 31, 2019. Boston trial lawyer Ken DeMoura has been
selected to lead the Litigation Counsel of America as its 2019 President.
The LCA is an invitation-only trial lawyer society dedicated to advancing
superior advocacy and ethical standards in the trial bar, publishing scholarly
and pragmatic content on trial practice and procedure, and recognizing
the achievements of its diverse membership. During his term, DeMoura will
chair the annual Spring and Fall conferences, serve as LCA spokesperson
on issues affecting the American litigation process, raise further awareness
of the rule of law as a fundamental pillar of democratic society, and
encourage the continued growth of a diverse trial bar. DeMoura has announced
the development of a network of LCA local chapters, to provide additional
educational opportunities and foster further collegiality among members,
as a major mission of his presidency.
The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed
of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in
the Litigation Counsel of America is highly selective and by invitation
only. Fellows are selected based upon evaluations of excellence, effectiveness
and accomplishment in litigation, and superior ethical reputation. The
LCA seeks a high level of diversity in its composition and includes Women’s
and Diversity Initiatives. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer
honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century,
the LCA represents the best in law among its membership.
